The early childhood program prepares children for entry into elementary school and is structured to allow teachers to consider the needs of each child. Emphasis is placed on social development, which is the base of elementary experience. In addition, structured activities that relate to academic skills or concept development are designed and implemented by the teachers.

The Primary & Secondary:

NSAM, Nitte gives impetus to the instructional facility with the application of smart classes. This digital initiative has improved teachers effectiveness and proficiency. It connects abstract and difficult concepts to real life. It makes learning an enjoyable experience for the students and enables multi sensory learning in classrooms. Continuous Assessment aligned to learning outcomes is carried out through projects, assignments, class test, group activities, term test etc., Apart from the subjects taught, the teaching methodology considers a students academic, social, physical, emotional and cultural need while delivering an integrated curriculum. The physical Science, Yoga, Sports and Games, performing arts as Music, , Dance etc., are an integral part of our curriculum.

Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation: (CCE)

As per the guidelines of Examination By-Laws of CBSE, New Delhi the assessment followed in the school is continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE). It takes care of assessment of all round development of child’s personality. It includes assessment in scholastic as well as co-scholastic aspects of students’ growth.

The Primary Section Students (I to V) will be having three terms / semester (I, II, & III) each semester will have informal assessments, one unit test , orals & some activities as well as end of the term Summative Assessment.

The senior’s students VI to X will be having 2 terms, each term will have 2 Formative Assessment (FA) and 1 Summative Assessment (SA). Formative Assessment is a tool used by the teacher to continuously monitor student’s progress in a non threatening and supportive environment. It involves regular descriptive feedback, a chance for the student to reflect on the performance, take advice and improve upon it. This is diagnostic and remedial assessment, which offers an opportunity to students to improve their work after feedback.

Summative Assessment is carried out at the end of the course of learning. It measures or sums up how much a student has learnt from the course. It is usually graded test, scholastic aspects include curricular or subject specific areas, whereas co-scholastic aspects include life skills, co-curricular, attitude, values & also sports & games.
